I am not a UNIX programmer but my version of Robert's client has the MMX
instructions in a form that would be easy to port to NASM.
If there is a NSAM assembler available for your system I could port the MMX
subroutines to NASM for windows, from where it would be easy to get them
into NASM on UNIX.
I don't know gas but if it uses the horrible syntax that gcc uses for
assembler I am NOT interested!
