The file "ecdl" is binary executable for PA-8x00 chips running HP-UX 11,
compiled by Jerry Whelan.

It is quite big at 254 K but there is a compressed 130 K version in
"ecdl.gz".  It runs at about 362 k iterations per second on a 440 MHz
PA-8500.

Download, gunzip if necessary, do "chmod u+x ecdl" and run with
arguments like this:

  ecdl <mode> <user> <team> <machine> <hardware> <OS> { <comment> } 

  <mode>:     Either test, mail, alt or batch.
  <user>:     Something to identify you by e.g., your email address.
  <team>:     Name of the team you are on  e.g., one you just made up!
  <machine>:  The machine name.
  <hardware>: The machine hardware type    e.g, '440 MHz PA-8500'.
  <OS>:       The OS name                  e.g., 'HP-UX 11'.
  <comment>:  Optional extra text.
