A stone/imp that throws SPL bombs around at 0.5c and then enters a two-pass core-clear. It scores quite well against some papers and simple stone/imps like Juliet and Blue Funk. Sometimes it does well against Impfinity but it loses to a half decent stone like CIA. If it could be armed with incendiary bombs and be given a decent bombing pattern, it would probably be quite a good all-round warrior. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. I think that fitting imps to stones with two-pass coreclears is worthy of further investigation. If the boot distance is tweaked the SPL-pass doesn't stun the imp too badly and you gain a lot of protection against other stone/imps and paper. ;redcode-94 ;name Feather v0.3 ;author Ian Oversby ;strategy Bomber ;kill Feather ;assert 1 gate1 equ (gate-3) last equ (djmp+1) dist equ 384 impstep equ 2667 sval equ 1300 org boot mimp SPL.B 1, <-200 MOV.I -1, 0 SPL.B 1, <-300 SPL.B 1, <-400 SPL.B 2, <-500 JMP.B imp ADD.A #impstep, -1 die DAT.F #0, #0 imp MOV.I #-5, impstep boot MOV.I {sptr, gate1 djmp DJN.B clr, {bombs for 71 DAT.F $0, $0 rof -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ E-mail : ee31io@surrey.ac.uk Disclaimer : No-one, but me, believes any of this. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
